Online Driver’s Education That Fits Your Schedule
Welcome to Star Driving School.
Our online Driver’s Education course is built for students who want flexibility without confusion. The program follows California DMV rules, but it’s presented in a clear and straightforward way that’s easy to follow.
You can access the course any time, any day, and continue exactly where you left off. There is no pressure to rush. Some students finish quickly, others take their time — both are perfectly fine.
The course works on computers, tablets, and phones, so you’re not tied to one device or location.
What to Expect While Taking the Course
Instead of one long block of material, the course is broken into short sections (10 units). Each section focuses on a specific topic and ends with a quick quiz. This helps students understand the material before moving on.
If a quiz or the final exam needs to be retaken, there is no extra charge. You can repeat them as many times as necessary until you pass.
After completing all sections, students take a final exam with 30 questions. A passing score is 80%.
Certificate of Completion
Once the final exam is passed, a Driver’s Education Certificate of Completion is mailed to the address provided during registration.
This certificate is official proof that the Driver’s Education requirement has been completed and is required for the next steps in the licensing process.
What Comes Next
After finishing Driver’s Education, teen students may begin the process of applying for a California learner’s permit.
Before taking the DMV written test and starting behind-the-wheel training, minors must also enroll with a California DMV-licensed driving school for practical driving instruction.
Once enrolled, students can move forward with both the written test and behind-the-wheel lessons.
